2B Surface Finish Stainless Steel
2B is a smooth, moderately reflective cold rolled finish commonly produced in the same manner as 2D, except that the final light cold rolling pass is done by using polished rolls. 2B is the most economical and widely used stainless steel finish. BA
Stanch provides bright annealed stainless steel sheets for customers to use in different applications.
BA (bright annealed) is the abbreviation of Bright Annealed, which is produced by heat-treating in a controlled atmosphere furnace. It’s a smooth, bright reflective finish, has a mirror-like appearance but may have some cloudiness and other imperfections. BA can be buffed to attain Super Mirror (No.8) which is much brighter than BA. It’s often specified for the applications that need highly reflective finish like architectural components, food processing equipment, and other general applications.

Bead Blast Finish Stainless Steels

Etched Finish Stainless Steel
Etched patterns are created by selectively applying a protective acid resistant film to appointed areas and acid etching the unprotected areas. The etching removes a thin layer of stainless steel, changes the color to a dull silver gray, and roughens the surface, which can be contrasted with grinding, super mirror or other finishes to create thousands of variations. Etched finish also can be colored before or after etching. It was widely used for decoration applications, such as elevator doors, wall panels, coping and trim.

No.1 Stainless Steel Finish
No.1 is a rough, dull and non-uniform finish, which results from hot rolling to the specified thickness, followed by annealing and descaling. It’s generally used in industrial applications, such as equipment for elevated temperatures service, checker plate and so on.

No.8 Super Mirror Stainless Steel
As a mirror-polished stainless steel sheet manufacturer, Stanch offers super mirror stainless steel for customers to choose from. Super Mirror is a high gloss, polished finish, having a high degree of reflectiveness which can be done by 2B and BA finishes, also called No.8 or non-directional finish. It is produced by finer abrasives and finished with extremely fine buffing compounds. Stanch mirror polished stainless steel sheet with special Super Mirror surface, is blemish-free and has a perfect reflective quality.
We produced super mirrors (stainless steel mirrors) by the chemical wet polish way, it’s different from dry polish. Dry polish can only get a No.7 finish, which is brighter than BA but still can see directional lines on the surface. Our chemical wet polishing process provides a non-directional super mirror finish that is transparent without any line marks.
Stainless steel Super Mirror is easily fabricated and not easy to be shattered than glass mirror. This super mirror stainless steel is widely used in food preparation, ceiling, and high pedestrian areas. PVD Coating Stainless Steels

Our PVD coating stainless steel, with physical Vapor Deposition (PVD), is a process to produce a metal vapor (titanium, chromium, and aluminum) that can be deposited on electrically conductive materials as a thin highly adhered pure metal or alloy coating. The process is carried out in a vacuum chamber using a cathodic arc source.The coating compounds are made up of various elements such as carbides, nitrides, borides, and silicide. A wide variety of colors can be achieved by adding different gases during the deposition.

- PVD coating is one of the best methods for enhancing thin film plating elements. The vacuum deposition method coats the product with a film of 0.1-0.3 microns thick.
